Stamped Concrete Driveway

It took two days to prep and pour this Beautiful  Stamped Concrete Driveway. Not that we had a time limit mind you. I only want to show you what Concreteva.com can accomplish in a couple of days.

This type of project does not happen by accident. This has been made very clear many times on  previous  blogs/posts. Concreteva.com meets with the homeowners, go over their requirements and ideas and all the while listening. The Cantilvered Edge

The Cantilevered Edge is a design element that I suggested to the home owner. It is an Architectual feature that allows us to overhang the concrete extending over the wall, thus giving the driveway a more distinguished look along with a shadow line on the wall. This feature was a challenge as the rocks were heavy profiled, so we had a lot of cutting to install the formwork.

The Finishes

It was decided not get get real sophisticated with the finish. One of the suggestions I a made was to use the Rock Salt Texture. The Rock Salt Texture is a simple design and along with the Decorative Saw Cuttting and the Brushed Concrete Border the Rock Salt Texture filled the customers order. Just goes to show you that color in the concrete is not always needed to give you a decorative look.

Stamped London Cobble

The Concrete Driveway was plenty large, so the homeowners wanted to add some more design elements to the narrow portion of the concrete driveway. Here  we decided to add  Stamped London Cobble strips periodically. This gave the narrow portion of the driveway some pizzazz but not too much that it overwhelms all of the other chosen finishes.
